Little Legends Privacy Policy

1. Little Legends is for grown-ups

You must be 18 or older to create an account, upload anything, or buy a book. Little Legends is made for parents and guardians (and adults buying a gift) — children are the heroes of the stories, but they don't use the site themselves. We ask you to confirm you're an adult when you sign up, and our Terms of Service set this out in full.

2. What we collect

Because photos can include children, we're careful with them: we only ask for what's needed to make the book, and before you upload a photo we ask you to confirm you have permission to use it:

"I have permission for each person, child or adult, whose photo I upload, and I agree to Little Legends' Terms of Service and Privacy Policy."

We handle children's information in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

3. How we use it

To create and deliver your book, send order and shipping updates, answer your questions, keep your account secure, and — if you opt in — share news and offers. With your permission (or unless you opt out for ads), we also use analytics and ads-measurement to understand and improve how Little Legends works.

We never sell your personal information for money. Some US state laws treat ad-measurement tools as "sharing" — you can opt out of that anytime (Section 7).

4. Who helps us run Little Legends

We work with a small set of trusted service providers, and share only what each one needs:

• Creating your book (AI): AI providers turn your photo into illustrations and help write the story. Under our agreements, your photos and details are not used to train their AI models.
• Payments: A secure payment processor handles your card details.
• Printing & shipping: Print partners receive only the finished, print-ready book — never your original photos or your child's details.
• Analytics: Tools that show us how the site is used so we can improve it.
• Ads measurement: Tools that help us see which ads bring families to us. Unless you've opted out, this can include sharing limited data (like a hashed email and IP) with ad platforms.
• Support & hosting: A chat/support tool stores your messages so we can help you, and your data is stored with a reputable cloud hosting provider using strong security.

We don't share your personal information with anyone else, except if the law requires it or to protect people's safety. We keep a current list of these providers and will share it on request.

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we take reasonable steps to protect it. No system is ever 100% secure, but if something goes wrong, we'll let you know as required by law.

7. Your privacy choices

You're in control:

• Opt out of ad "sharing": Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer. It opens our cookie-preferences manager — turn off the Advertisement (and Analytics) categories and we'll stop sharing data with ad platforms for measurement. We also automatically honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime via the link in any message.
• Access, correct, or delete your information, or your child's — see Section 8. Depending on your state (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas) you may have these rights by law, and we won't treat you differently for using them.

8. Deleting your data

You can delete your account, saved characters, and books anytime from your My Saved Stories page. Prefer we handle it, or want to remove something specific?

• Email support@littlelegends.app from your account's email (or tell us which account it's about) and say what you'd like deleted.
• We'll confirm it's really you (so no one else can request your data).
• We'll delete it and confirm, within 30 days — usually much sooner.

This is also how to remove data tied to our ads tools — you don't need a social-media account to ask.

9. About the AI

Your child's character is created by AI from the photo you provide, used only to make your book. If you have an account, we save that illustrated character so you can reuse it for future books — you can delete saved characters anytime. Under our agreements, your photos aren't used to train any AI provider's models, and we don't use them to train systems of our own.

To improve our storytelling, we may use de-identified story text — with the child's name and other identifying details removed — to refine our writing process. We do not use your uploaded photos or the illustrated characters for this, and we don't use identifiable information about any child to train AI.
